New Horizons for Belarusian Companies in Saudi Arabia

During the visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, Kirill Zalessky, met with the Vice Minister of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ammar Naqadi.

During the negotiations, Kirill Zalessky confirmed the interest of Belarus in dynamically developing comprehensive trade, economic, and investment cooperation with the Kingdom. The Minister of Communications and Informatization emphasized that the events on information and communication technologies of the Belarusian delegation in Riyadh are an important step toward building partnerships in other industry areas.

“Belarus has significant potential and is ready to supply high-quality products in traditional sectors such as mechanical engineering, food production, and light industry”, noted the Minister, handed the Saudi side proposals for developing cooperation in these areas.

Kirill Zalessky emphasized that Belarus views the strategic plans of Saudi Arabia within the Saudi Vision 2030 program as an excellent basis for partnership through the expansion of bilateral economic ties. To deepen cooperation, he proposed making mutual business missions in various industry sectors an annual practice.

In turn, the Vice Minister of Economy and Planning of Saudi Arabia Ammar Naqadi warmly welcomed the Belarusian delegation and expressed his readiness to assist in the development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries. He encouraged Belarusian companies, including the Hi-Tech Park residents, to actively consider opening representative offices in the Kingdom to ensure a permanent presence in the market.

Ammar Naqadi also expressed interest in jointly exploring potential issues in bilateral relations for their prompt resolution.
